Teams are formed by elementary school boundries and by grade level. Forming teams by elementary boundries gives the youth who don't play basketball on a school team an opportunity to play.

Kindergarten teams are coed, but 1st thru 8th grades are separated by gender. When Wham begins in a new city it may take a year or two to aquire enough girls who show interest, but knowing they don't have to compete with the boys makes a big difference.

All games are played on Saturdays at local school gyms. Games begin the first Saturday after the winter break and continue into March.
